As a baseball card collector, there is nothing quite like pulling a "hit" from a pack of cards. Jersey swatches, pieces of bats, autographs, or anything that brings me closer to the game is a welcome addition to my collection. Pulling one of these memorabilia cards is always a thrill for me. Heck, even when I buy a box of cards with guaranteed "hits", I still get excited when they show up.
If I had to estimate, I would say that I have opened over ten thousand packs of cards in my life. Granted, before 1990 there was not much in the way of "hits" you could pull from a pack. Nonetheless, in the last nearly twenty years I have had plenty of opportunity to pull autograph and jersey cards.
These are the backs of two of my favorite "hits":
2000 Fleer Greats of the Game - Willie Randolph
Take some time to read the back of the card...
Done? Okay check out this one:
2005 Bowman Heritage - Troy Glaus PG-TG
Did you read the back of this one? Hmmm... Not such great "hits" that a Tony Gwynn collector should call them his favorites. Well check out the fronts of these "hits"...
I posted them over on my PunkRockPaint Blog if you want to see.

Man, this is the equivalent of a television crossover night!
Ha, nice. I think...
This reminds me of the two blasters of 08 topps progression football I grabbed at the local store out of boredom I got a matt forte R/C it was thick loke an atoo or jersey and I got all excited it was numbered in gold to 100/299 until I seen the front of the card the card was virtually blank you could read the outline of the top the name and the Progresssion logo but there was no foil and a grey outline background around his pic no auto no jersey just a thick card with a serial nuber and a pic R/C in my haste I didn't keep the items I was emailed by topps I would have to send in which include but were not limited to the blaster box it's wrapping the pack it came in ( out of 20 pcks)what shirt I had on at the time of opening the reciept the box the styrofoam from theat excact blaster ETC.. It was in a blaster for cryng out loud I don't know what pack it came in as I open them all then look! oh well. Lost a possible BV $12.00 ( $1.50 ebay) hit which I don't get a lot of! Grant
